A short video on a Polish immigrant's story.
The Brodowski Family
Back: Celina, Iwa
Front: Jacus (father), Jula (mother)
Arrived in Canada: 1903
Homeland: Poland
Father's occupation: Farmer
Why did they come to Canada: The Brodowski family lived in an area of Poland that was controlled by another country. They did not feel safe. They came to Canada because they could purchase land and start over in a new country. Once they arrived in Canada, Jacus decided to open a store that would sell to farmers in his region.
